Vision
Unity Christian Ministries will be recognized as a
modern day example of what the New Testament Church is
meant to be, fulfilling the desires and commission of
Jesus, the Great Head of the Church.
Mission Statement
We exist in order to bring God glory by producing much
fruit according to his will for us as his people. We
will love people with the love of God; and we will seek
the salvation and total well-being of all who come under
our influence as a ministry. We will work tirelessly in
the areas of evangelism, Christian education, vocational
and academic education, economic development, job
creation and all available means of elevating the
quality of life of God’s people.
Guiding Principles and Practices
1. Jesus, the Christ, will always be recognized as the
Great Head of the Church.
2. The Word of God will be recognized as being
authoritative for ordering our conduct.
3. The Holy Spirit will be recognized as our guide for
moving in obedience to the will of God.
4. We will strive to maintain the purity of Bible
doctrine in our understanding and in practice, standing
against the tide of popular opinion.
5. We will hold to and teach justification,
sanctification, Spirit baptism, deliverance, healing and
total well-being as things for which Christ died, and
that we lay hold on these things by faith in Christ and
the cross.
6. We will walk in victory over sin, and teach others to
do the same, by focusing our faith upon Christ and His
work of atonement, i.e. the finished work of Calvary,
recognizing that it this focus upon Christ and the cross
that gives Him the latitude to impart power for
victorious living, by the Holy Spirit who lives within
us.
7. We will be known as a house of prayer. We will teach,
promote and encourage prayer; and we will bathe our
decisions, as a ministry, in prayer.
8. We will seek to guard the reputation of our Lord in
the world by carefully watching over our witness as
individuals and as a collective body.
9. We will consider nothing as too hard for our God; and
therefore we know that we can attain all that is his
will for us as individuals and as a collective body.
10. We will learn to think as a family and community of
faith rather than just as individuals, placing the
interests of our sisters and brothers on a par with our
own and even above our own.
11. We will put forth an aggressive evangelism ministry
by training ourselves and others to fish for the souls
of men, women, boys and girls, thereby allowing the Lord
to use us to grow His kingdom.
12. We will work to impact the lives of the children and
youth of our community by the Word and Spirit of God, so
that they are able to fully embrace the Spirit-filled
life of Christ and avoid the common perils of youth.
13. We will promote and teach the importance of
Christian education as a means of improving the quality
of life of God’s people, both spiritually and naturally.
14. We will promote and teach the importance of
vocational and academic education as a means of training
the mind to cope with the realities and necessities of
this present life on planet earth; and we will promote
and teach the importance of entrepreneurial endeavors
among the people of God.
15. We will seek to create opportunities for people
entering the kingdom of God from positions of brokenness
to build constructive and fruitful lives through
education, training and job creation.
16. We will conduct foundational training in the
Christian faith on an ongoing basis.
17. We will conduct leadership training on an ongoing
basis so that the ministry and church always has a pool
of people from which to draw who are capable and ready
to lead programs and ministries of the church.
18. We will conduct training on personal finances to
enhance good financial stewardship among God’s people.
19. We will allow God to use us to train, equip, and
send out ministers, who will function in the five-fold
ministry.
20. We will allow God to use us to plant multiple
churches, and all else that He places in our hearts to
do.
21. We will embrace racial and ethnic diversity in a
very deliberate fashion. Our diversity will be evident
in both the leadership of the ministry as well as its
membership.
