Aubrey
Ector, the writer, is a bi-vocational pastor and
enterprise software
analyst, who lives in Cleveland, Tennessee area.
He is married to Barbara Simpson Ector and they have
two
daughters.
He has approximately twenty-one years of pastoral
experience.
He has been a youth pastor and was the senior pastor of
a denominational
church for thirteen years. During that span, he
held numerous positions
of leadership within his denomination. In 2003, he
and his wife Barbara
founded Unity Christian Ministries, Inc., an
interdenominational ministry
headquartered in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Aubrey has also been very active otherwise in his
community. He
presently is a member of the Board of Directors of the
local public utility
He has chaired the Board of Directors of a local
pro-life pregnancy
care center. He has served for many years as the
President of a local
ministries' fellowship. He has participated with
the writing of position
papers on racism for a grassroots community improvement
organization
and has been a part of a group that provides anti-racism
training.
The Ectors are natives of Memphis, Tennessee, where
Aubrey attended
and graduated from Douglas High School. He has
also lived in Houston,
Texas; Lake Charles, Louisiana; Kingsport, Tennessee;
Nashville, Tennessee;
and Knoxville, Tennessee.
Aubrey is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at
Knoxville with
a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. He also
has a Master of Theology
Degree from Christian Bible College of Rocky Mount,
North Carolina.
His writing experience includes writing Sunday School
literature for a
major denominational publisher and contributions to
published devotional
guides.
